Game 1: Central Florida Golden Knights @ Ohio State Buckeyes – Saturday, September 8
Football betting experts saw the Ohio State Buckeyes struggle in the first quarter of their season opener last week against the Miami University RedHawks… and then sail through the remaining three quarters. The Buckeyes figured a few things out on offense, worked the kinks out of their system, and showed a ready ability to implement the new offensive scheme installed by head coach Urban Meyer. Ohio State demonstrated an ability to make in-game adjustments and, even more importantly, get out of its own way. This is a team crammed with talent and skill, and though it is young, it should be able to have its way against a team from Conference USA. Central Florida is a preseason co-favorite in C-USA, but the Golden Knights are not in Ohio State’s weight class. They can’t punch with the heft and swiftness the Buckeyes possess. This will be close for two and a half quarters, and then Ohio State will steadily pull away in the final 20 to 25 minutes of action.

Game 2: Miami Hurricanes @ Kansas State Wildcats – Saturday, September 8
When surveying a 5dimes.com review, it is easier to get a read on Miami than Kansas State in this contest, primarily because Miami played a Football Bowl Subdivision team (Boston College) in week one of the season, while Kansas State fattened up against an obscure Football Championship Subdivision patsy in the lower tier of the college football infrastructure. Miami is playing several true freshmen on its defense, and that’s why a generally poor Boston College was able to score 32 points against the Hurricanes. Kansas State has a quarterback, Collin Klein, who is adept as a passer but brilliant as a runner. With this game being played in Manhattan, Kan., the Wildcats should enjoy a considerable advantage. Miami had to work very hard to fend off Boston College; the Eagles are the worst team in the ACC, at least based on last season’s performance. Miami will not have the upper hand against a Kansas State team that reached the Cotton Bowl last season after finishing second in the deep and competitive Big 12 Conference. This is Kansas State’s game to lose; take the Wildcats.

Game 3: North Carolina State Wolfpack @ Connecticut Huskies – Saturday, September 8
When you express the desire to become a bookie, you need to weigh evidence as you formulate the odds for a given game. At bodog or any other outlet, one needs to calibrate various factors and arrive at a fundamental conclusion on a contest. In this tilt between N.C. State and Connecticut, one must simply point out that the Wolfpack and Huskies faced two very different types of opponents in week one of the season. North Carolina State played a better and tougher Tennessee team, while Connecticut played against Massachusetts, a former Football Championship Subdivision (lower-division) school that was making its Football Bowl Subdivision (or upper-division) debut. North Carolina State might have lost to Tennessee while UConn beat Massachusetts, but N.C. State got a much better test of its abilities. The Wolfpack should use that test to their advantage and thrash Connecticut.
