While Toronto Blue Jays players are gearing up for spring training, the PGA season is chugging into their second month with the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, which garners attention for their celebrity players and the host course at Pebble Beach, one of the most beloved courses in the world (although players tee off at Spyglass and Monterey as well over the first three rounds). Here is a look at five players to bet on this week.

Tiger Woods (+500): Woods is back at this tournament for the first time since 2002, but Bet Online players will remember his sweep of the Pro-Am and the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in 2000. He is coming off a T-3 in Abu Dhabi two weeks ago and even though we’ll never see the domination we saw 12 years ago, Woods’ game is coming around and he’s close to breaking out.

Dustin Johnson (+1500): Johnson won here in 2009 and 2010, but he has struggled in the early part of the season, failing to break the top 40 in three events, and he withdrew once as well as he continues to get stronger after offseason knee surgery. But players that work with price per head software know that some players just like certain courses and maybe a trip to Pebble Beach will get the big hitter on track.

Hunter Mahan (+2000): Mahan finished second to D.A. Points last year, and he had a T-6 result in his first PGA Tour start of 2012 at Torrey Pines, although he did miss the cut in Qatar last weekend. Mahan is as steady as they come and if he is around the top of the leaderboard on Sunday, watch out.

Spencer Levin (+3000): Levin crumbled last weekend at the TPC Scottsdale, shooting a 75 to finish solo third. However, those that use pay per head sportsbook services watched him fall to Kyle Stanley, who had his own Sunday collapse the previous week. Levin took a share of fourth place last year at this event, and if he can put Scottsdale out of his head, he has the game to pull out an upset.

D.J. Trahan (+8000): Trahan finished one spot behind Levin in fourth place at Scottsdale, and he needed it badly after a terrible 2011 season. He finished in the top 10 at Pebble Beach in 2009 and 2010, and Trahan is looking to carry his momentum from Scottsdale over to this venerable golf course. This event is very laidback with the celebrities taking part, and that could be the right atmosphere for Trahan, who hasn’t won since 2008 at the Bob Hope Classic, but he has the talent to be a solid sports betting darkhorse this weekend.
