Rafael Nadal defeated Fernando Gonzales from Chile to claim the men's singles gold medal. Nadal took the first ever gold in Olympic tennis for Spain after a 6-3, 7-6 and 6-2 win. "The Olympics means really a lot to me," he said. "I'm little bit sad about the match, but all things considered, I'm really happy." 22-year old Nadal, who had won 38 of his last 39 matches, will be taking over the number one in WTA ranking this Monday.
